House Dinner Report
Though only a few months old, the Senegalese Association of Maryland (SENAM) managed to organize a successful house dinner at its headquarters in Columbia, MD on April 28, 2007, at 5:00 p.m., as a starter of the organization's activities.
The purpose of the dinner was to:
1. initiate introducing SENAM to non-members and particularly potential donors,
2. raise modest funds that could be used to:
a. set to realizing some of its objectives mentioned in the organization.s mission
statement,
b. help prepare a bigger fundraising activity in the medium term (within a
months).
Guest turn-out was up to expectations, so were their contributions. On its part, SENAM did serve a wide range of those globally renowned, ever mouth-watering Senegalese dishes. Everyone enjoyed "Jaraw lakk" chefs Anna, Camille, and Fifi! Guests praised the organization for launching its activities aimed at reducing poverty and increasing the quality of life among needy Senegalese youth.
